Travel to Thoresta by train or by bus
Thoresta is approximately seven kilometers from Bålsta Station where you can go by train or by bus from Stockholm,  Arlanda airport and Uppsala. Twice an hour a commuter train leaves Stockholm for Bålsta.  For more information about the current time timetable click on www.sl.se. From Arlanda airport and Uppsala bus 803 and 895 leave for Bålsta station. A taxi-rank is just outside the station.

The road to Thoresta by car
Thoresta Manor is located outside Stockholm close to E18 towards Enköping.

From Stockholm (35 min.)
Drive along E18 to Enköping. Exit the motorway towards Bro and turn right to Bro. Carry on and drive past the exit to Bro. Follow the signs to Bålsta.  After about four kilometers turn left at the signpost Thoresta Herrgård. You are now on the domains of Thoresta Manor. Follow the gravel road for about 1, 5 kilometers up to the Manor. You can park on either side of the long red building.

From Arlanda airport (40 min.)
Drive from Arlanda towards Stockholm on E4/E18. When the motorway divides drive towards Stockholm/Sigtuna. Turn right and follow road 263 Sigtuna/Märsta as far as Sigtuna. Take the first exit in the roundabout towards Enköping/Uppsala. You are still on road 263. After a couple of kilometers the road turns towards Enköping/Bålsta/Skokloster/Erikssund. After Eriksund turn left towards Bålsta. After about two kilometers turn right to Bålsta. After crossing E18 on a bridge pass the first roundabout and take the third exit at the second roundabout. Follow the road for some kilometers through the housing area of Kalmarsand with water on your right hand side. Turn right at the signpost Thoresta Herrgård. You are now on the domains of Thoresta Manor. Follow the gravel road for about 1, 5 kilometers up to the Manor. You can park on either side of the long red building.

From Enköping (30 min.)
Take E18 to Stockholm. Take the second exit (beware of the sharp turn) to Bålsta. Turn left to Bålsta. Pass the first roundabout and take the third exit at the second roundabout. Follow the road for some kilometers through the housing area of Kalmarsand with water on your right hand side. Turn right at the signpost Thoresta Herrgård. From Uppsala (40 min.)
Take the main road 55 to Enköping. Drive straight through the roundabout at the church at Litslena. Turn left at the T-crossing to Grillby. Take the motorway, E18, to Stockholm. Take the second exit (beware of the sharp turn) to Bålsta. Turn left to Bålsta  Pass the first roundabout and take the third exit at the second roundabout. Follow the road for some kilometers through the housing area of Kalmarsand with water on your right hand side. Turn right at the signpost Thoresta Herrgård. You are now on the domains of Thoresta Manor. Follow the gravel road for about 1, 5 kilometers up to the Manor. You can park on either side of the long red building.
